Every project we work on is tailored specifically your needs. But there are steps in every project that help make even the most daunting of projects a little bit easier to manage. We will work with you to get through the 5Rs —allowing us to break down your clutter into bite-sized tasks.

(1) Return —We’ll identify the things in your space that are not yours. We’ll label it and put it aside.This bucket is one of the easiest to start with because something either belongs to you or doesn’t.

(2) Rehome — This group of items are things in your space you no longer need or want, are in good (clean/working) condition and could be used by someone else as is. These can be donations dropped at any organization of your choosing or they can be items you wish to sell either online or through a consignment store. 

(3) Remove —Some things just need to be thrown out, shredded or recycled. Even though there are some guidelines for what to keep or toss, for some  people, this is the hardest category to manage. If you struggle with letting go or if you have a lot of items that need to be disposed of in a special manner (electronics, batteries, paints, etc.) we can save this group for last.

4) Retain — These are things you pick up and without question know they are wanted or needed in your home. As you are going through the other steps, there maybe be things that you are unsure of. Put anything you are not certain about in this keep pile. As we go to put the space back together, you will have another opportunity to look at each item and decide how it fits into your newly organized space, if it belongs in another part of your home or if it should fall into another category.

(5) Repurpose —Finding a new way to use an item you’ve had is a great way to keep things you like and very likely already fit your home’s aesthetic, is a way save money and is environmentally friendly.
